FAQs

How many books do you publish each year?
We publish two titles every year: the winning entries in each category (poetry and fiction) of our annual book competition. In the past, we’ve also published two anthologies: The Poet Upstairs andHungry As We Are.

How do you enter a manuscript for consideration?
Please see our Become an Author page for details.

Can I submit a manuscript by email attachment?
No. Please submit your poetry or fiction manuscript according to the guidelines listed on our Become an Author page.

Do you publish any titles besides the two contest winners?
No. We are a small, local non-profit publisher; given our limited resources and manpower, we have decided only to publish the annual contest winners. Therefore, we welcome any qualified writers to submit their manuscripts according to the guidelines detailed on our Become an Author page.

Do you publish non-fiction, such as memoirs?
No, only submissions to the poetry and fiction categories of our annual book competition.

How do I order books?
Please see our Browse our Books page for details.

Can I order WWPH books from Amazon?
Yes.

How can I contact or find more information about your authors?
Please visit our Our Authors page for links to each author’s individual page. If sufficient information is not listed, please email us at wwphpress@gmail.com. (Note in the subject line which author you are trying to contact, and we will forward your message to them.)

If I describe my book in an email and/or press release, can you tell me if you want to look at it?
Sorry, no. We only consider finished manuscripts submitted to our annual book competition.

How can I submit artwork as an artist and illustrator?

I’m looking for a job or internship in the publishing field. Can you help me?
