Summer of Love at Frederick Book Arts Center

June 24, 2026 | Frederick Book Arts Center

Welcome to the Summer of Love Tour, where Washington Writers’ Publishing House is bringing authors all over the DMV to celebrate our new mini-anthology, Capital Love. These writing salons will reflect the intention of Capital Love, which is the belief that love is the antidote to hate and that love is action, intent, healing, and hope. This event is designed to introduce you to the Washington Writers’ Publishing House community and to raise up our collective voices in literary solidarity.

What to expect in the 2-hour literary salon:

  • A FREE writing workshop led by Suzanne Feldman, author of The Witch Bottle & Other Stories
  • Readings from Shaylynn Marks, Serent Agusto-Cox, Jona Colson, and Caroline Bock
  • A limited space open mic (5-minute max per reader)

All events are free and open to the public.
