Laura Brylawski-Miller

Laura Brylawski-Miller was born and grew up in Milan, Italy. She came to the USA in her twenties. Brylawski-Miller had the classical European education (Latin, ancient Greek, philosophy etc.) and spoke French, but no English. She taught herself English by reading Walt Disney comic books. Her education in the States encompasses a B.S. in Allied Healths–working as a surgical Physician’s Assistant– and a MFA in Creating Writing.

Brylawski-Miller’s first collection of poems and her first two novels won competitions by Washington Writers Publishing House. Her third novel, The Shadow of The Evening is at present being translated in Italian. A latest collection of poems Exile at Sarzana, was recently published by the Broadkill River Press.
